Beginner I Technique |

The Kinesthetic Cue Dance Club |
$40 Monthly (4 weeks) |
This class is designed for students new to
belly dance or seeking a belly dance
refresher. No dance experience is
necessary. Students will learn basic
belly dance technique, including posture,
shimmies, isolations, undulations and
traveling steps.

Prerequisite: Mastery of content
from Beginner I Technique or permission of
teacher. This class is designed for
students wishing to expand their dance
vocabulary after completion of Beginner I
Technique. Students will learn
undulations, accents, turns and layering.
Begin exploring Middle Eastern music rhythms
and structure. Choreography and
improvisational exercises will be taught.

Students will build movement repertoire in
preparation for performing complex ensemble
choreographies. Learn to perform
intricate floor patterns, arm paths and
turns with confidence and strong alignment.
Emphasis will be on quality movement
execution, alignment, stamina, whole-body
awareness, emotional expression,
improvisation and musical interpretation.
All class structures are based on a Western
format of clear movement breakdowns,
drilling the basics, hands-on corrections
and integrating movements through
combinations, choreography and
improvisational exercises.
